Randy Carter has a passion for student ministry, in fact he says…”Why would anyone choose to work with adults when they can work with students?” Randy has been involved in youth work since 1979, eleven years of which he served as a youth pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in western Canada. Since July 1994 he has been involved as an itinerant youth speaker and a youth ministry consultant with Straight Talk Ministries. His unique blend of humour and direct approach to truth allows him to captivate the listener and drive home the truth in a relevant and meaningful way. Randy has spoken throughout Canada, as well as into the United States and even as far as Malaysia. He lives in Calgary with his wife (Donna) and two daughters (Kendall & Kevann).

Funny, relational, and relevant. Randy knows his demographic and prepares talks that solicit a response from students. His motivation is to see lives change for Jesus, and that shines through.

Randy was my Youth Pastor during my high school years (more than 20yrs ago!) & the impact his intrigty, compassion and passion for sharing God's love has been a steadfast cornerstone in the person I turned out to be. It is with confidence that I recommend him as a speaker... thank you Randy & God speed!

Growing up, I knew Randy as one of my friends dads. I attended camp the week he was speaking, and every time I enjoyed what he spoke about. His topics (although hitting more towards younger ages, mostly Jr High I find) relate quite a bit to what a younger generation struggles with. I enjoyed his stories to, because whenever he would tell one he did it with such enthusiasm and life. I payed attention to his talks, which is a huge deal.

Randy is top notch. To have a speaker of his caliber local in Alberta is a great gift to ministries in our Province. I have used Randy numerous times and have been impressed with him each time. Randy is one of the most gifted communicators of God's word that I know of. He blends humor and truth in a very appropriate and meaningful way. More then his communication, Randy has a heart that truly desires to see all people grow in their relationship with God. A+++!
