CKSO Radio and Television were a big part of Sudbury for many decades. CKSO was the first private television station in Canada starting in 1953. However, the familiar call letters were given up in the 1990's. We have chosen the call letters because they are fondly remembered by thousands of radio listeners and television viewers. Fifty years later CKSO represents Christian radio at 101.1 FM. We have been "ON AIR" since December 2, 2002 with test broadcasts as required by Industry Canada.
