How To Drug Proof Your Kids® equips parents, grandparents, teachers, foster parents and youth leaders with an explanation of drugs today and how they affect families and communities.Parents need to know their kids well enough to know when something’s up, and deeper family relationships are the best investment a parent could ever make! Through How To Drug Proof Your Kids® communities can learn together how to foster a safer environment for their children.How To Drug Proof Your Kids® Parent Programs have been available in Canadian communities since 2002. The material was developed in Australia and scrutinized by more than 30 professionals in the education, health, counselling and drug treatment professions.Since the program's inception, it has been duplicated in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, France and South Africa.Volunteer facilitators – usually parents, pastors, addictions workers, counsellors, police officers and other community members – lead the six-session Parent Programs.
