SDCH has a student population of 232 students, twenty one teachers and a support staff of seven. We offer a broad range of courses and an interesting menu of extra curricular activities. The school is inspected by the Ministry as well as by the OACS. We offer excellent university and college bound programs as well as an expanding work oriented program. Smithville District Christian High students are widely accepted in post secondary institutions.

The school facilities were updated in 1994 when the "west wing", which consists of four classrooms and a storage area, were added. In 2000/2001 a large gymnasium, a drama room, a music room as well as an up-to-date wood working shop connected to a new computer lab were built. The original building was renovated to include a new student lounge, a modern library, guidance facilities, a new staff and work room and a conference room. SDCH has become an attractive secondary school.
